The work Sogni explores the expressive potential of encaustic, an ancient technique that combines pigments and wax to create surfaces of great material and chromatic richness. An irregular grid of intense reds contrasts with white and grey backgrounds, creating tension between structure and gesture. The enclosing methacrylate enhances its condition as a contemporary object, situated between memory and present, where the human gesture endures as an indelible trace in matter.
