Atacama Desert, the driest in the world
The Atacama Desert is the driest non-polar desert in the world. It is also the only true desert that receives less precipitation than the polar deserts and the largest fog desert in the world. At night the temperature drops to -25 °C while during the day the temperature reaches 50 °C in the shade. There is no difference between summer and winter, because it is located on the edge of the Tropic of Capricorn. In summer, the morning room temperature is between 4 and 10 °C and the maximum can reach 45 °C in full sunlight.
